Trade TJ for Lifted WJ Grand or Liberty KJ (sell for $9000)

Postby Jerry Blair » Fri May 28, 2010 10:37 am

I parted out my YJ and have been DD'ing my TJ. I'd like to transition from wrangler to "suv". The TJ is awesome but just doesn't fit my family well. I'd like something with a "little" larger interior. A little bit about my TJ:

It is a 4 cyl, 5 speed currently. 80,000 miles With many upgrades.
Currie HP D44 front axle ARB locker 4.56 gears
Currie HP9 inch Rear axle ARB locker 4.56 gears
Heavy bumpers front and rear
Full roll cage
Scorpion Bedlined interior under the factory original carpet
Interior in excellent condition.
Hardtop
3.5” RE Superflex lift
JB Conversions SYE
33x12.5x15 Bfg ATs with 90% tread
15x10 Rockcrawler rims
Rockmen corner guards.
Bar Offroad Rocker guards
Kilby Gas Tank Skid
Xenon Flares
Chromoly tie-rod

It has been offroaded and has a few dings and scratches. Both front fenders are bent, but I’ve bought brand new fenders to replace them. Not installed yet. I’ve also bought a 2002 4.0 engine with an NV3550 Transmission w/56,000 miles to do a swap, that I’d include with the right trade. I would consider completing the swap for the right trade as well. I used to own an offroad shop and actually built this Jeep for a customer of mine. I'm constantly tinkering with this thing so upgrades will continue. I just rebuilt the control arms and replaced all the tierod ends last week (After 80K miles on the lift it was getting a little loose)

What I would like for trade is a WJ or KJ with similar mileage, a lift and decent tires. Ideally, I'd love to have ARB lockers as well (or quadradrive on the WJ). Not a "must-have", though.

Let me know if you know anyone looking for a TJ.

These pics were taken last year. I'll add current pics Monday evening. I'm taking it camping this weekend.

LOL. I've considered a ZJ. The right one would be a V8 and SUPER clean!

You and I need to do one of those LONG family trips we talked about.

You want to go to Walmart, buy their $129 10x10 dining canopy and then buy a $60 Ozark Trail tent for inside and you have a nice 10x10 cabin.

Lori and I have one. We're camping at eastfork this weekend in it. Stop out Saturday night for our Luau. Good times.

Jerry, I am not looking for another TJ, but if you sell it and are interested, I have a 2001 WJ with Teraflex Lift and brand new BFG T/A tires. It is a GC Ltd with Quadradrive about 70K miles on it. Let me know if you are interested

Not to hi-jack the the thread, but we need another jeep and are looking. Sooo, if Jerry is not looking can you please give me a shout or pm me.

Thanks,

Tom
I had a moderately built Rubicon, but still prefered to wheel the WJ. Doesn't that say enough about me?
